i'm itching to show the piece i designed for the convention michelle is hosting...but i've been instructed to WAIT.  ugh, i'm no good at that.  here's another new piece with a basic stone setting.  sterling silver, beach stone and chrysophase beads.
it's a basic setting, but i still have a long way to go in perfecting my technique.

and if you're in calgary stampeding...yeehaw!

#22 in the brooch-a-week challenge.  revisited the dots on slices of branch motif.  having fun with it, bit of an aboriginal feel, or something you'd find in africa.

BAW52/18

BAW #18: bit of a departure on this one.  used a slice of raw wood and just a few dots with two distressed granulation accents.  think i'll have to explore this series a bit more.  really like that i can still see the grain of the wood etc.  choosing colors for the raw wood vs. my usual black wood was also a challenge.  cheers!
