Illustration Friday - Clean

usually when i get the illo friday assignment, i don't do it. this isn't because i don't find it interesting, but because i don't feel like i have enough time to do a 'full piece'. for me a full piece usually involves lots of colors, prismas, shading and in the end selling it on ebay or some such. this week i decided to take a note from willie baronet, whose work i find extremely inspiring, and just do a quick sketch. i only gave myself 5 minutes to do it and this is what i came up with! i used to doodle these cascading alphabets all the time. it might make it to a 'full piece' one day, you never know. i don't know what made me think of it, but this has been a great creative exercise for me! so thank you willie and thank you IF! have a great week!

Wow, I am so humbled. Very cool idea! I noticed the last few letters going into the toilet almost spell something. :-)

That's a great way of working. I have a self rule of putting something up each week, anything, even if I only have a few minutes. It's hard sometimes when something turns out badly, but you never know, sometimes it's the quick things that lead you to free-up and do something new.

I really like the idea you came up with, it was like a word game for me. I sat and tried to make naughty words out of your letters for ages.

Hmmm, what starts with the letter Z? Anyway - clever concept! The simplicity works wonderfully! Great job.

I like it! Although I love your style, sometimes it's good to think outside the box, eh?

You're onto something here I think ~ as inspired by Willie. Maybe I'll do the same thing for the next IF. I see you did it again for Capture. They are very quirky and cool.
