it is so easy these days to get caught up in the day-to-day rush and forget what is really important in life. today i got slammed back in my chair. yesterday my friend and cousin, Michael Argall, was killed in a bike-meets-car accident in Texas. i think i am still in shock though tears are continuously shed. how does such a beautiful life disappear so suddenly? there are no answers only sorrow. hug your loved ones today and always....mike, we miss you so much already.

Michael was my coach this spring for the Danskin Triathlon. He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. He was SUCH a caring coach. I think that so many folks in Austin are shocked... and have such a sense of loss.... I just wanted to you to know what a wonderful person Michael was.

I'm blown away at the news I received at church this morning. I'm still trying to find a way to get my head around this. I met Michael through cycling and I had the opportunity to coach him last year as a budding competitive cyclist. He was an amazing person and a devout Christian. I will miss him dearly. The last time I saw him we did a trail run and I will run the next one in honor of him. Please keep Cecilia in your thoughts and prayers.

Stacey,

I live in Austin and was lucky enough to meet Michael this spring. He was my Danskin bike coach at Rogue. There are no words to describe how he will be missed. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I hope it helps you and your family to know that there are hundreds of people in Austin who were touched my Michael, through his riding and coaching. He had an amazingly positive attitude and was so very caring and supportive of his "Iron Chicks". He stood on the steepest hill at the race and cheered for each one of us as we struggled up it.

This is so unbelievable to all of us. We are all thinking of you and your family right now.

Michael was also my coach. He was an amazingly kind, patient, and funny person. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know him. I can't describe what a profound sense of loss we feel in Austin. Michael was a wonderful person.

I trained with Michael for the Austin Marathon. I still can't really grasp this. He was such a nice person - always smiling, always positive. He will be missed by so many.

So sorry Stacey. Blessings to you. I can relate, a friend overdosed a few weeks ago, and another is in the hospital 6 weeks after being hit while on his bicycle. He still hasn't been able to speak or show real signs of awareness. Thanks for the reminder to hug someone. :-)

Sending you an e-hug.
